The City has declared a Snow Emergency from Sat 2/21 @ 3:00 PM through Wed 2/25 @ 8:00 AM, unless sooner terminated.
As of Saturday @ 1:15 PM, the National Weather Service has declared a Blizzard Warning, forecasting 11 to 19 inches with winds gusting as high as 47 MPH.
Make sure your generators and cars have enough fuel, and you have everything you need before the snow starts tonight after 1:00 AM, and expected to be in full force by tomorrow @ 4:00 PM.
Today, Mayor Simmons declared a Snow Emergency, effective at 3:00 pm on February 21 and extending through 8:00 am on February 25, unless sooner terminated.
Stamford is expected to receive significant snowfall this weekend, with the bulk of the snowfall occurring Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. High winds are also expected.
Vehicles parked on a designated snow emergency route and/or alternate side parking roads must move their vehicles or be subject to ticketing and towing. The Bell, Bedford, and Summer Street Garages will be open and free during the snow emergency.
Motorists should stay off the roads to allow crews to safely and efficiently clear snow.
