πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Military Families Could See Significant Benefits Under Proposed Defense Bill πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

The House Armed Services Committee has advanced the Fiscal Year 2027 defense authorization bill, which includes some major quality-of-life improvements for our military community. Among the proposals are targeted military pay raises ranging from 5% to 7%, with junior enlisted service members receiving the largest increases.

The bill also includes changes aimed at strengthening housing allowances and supporting military families facing rising living costs.

While the legislation must still move through the Senate and be signed into law before becoming official, it represents a continued recognition of the sacrifices made by our service members and their families.

The Marine Corps Reserve Association will continue to monitor developments and advocate for policies that strengthen the readiness, well-being, and financial stability of our Guard, Reserve, active-duty, veteran, and military family communities.

πŸ’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ More than a game. More than a jersey.

This Memorial Day weekend, every player on the Marines Ice Hockey team took the ice wearing the name of someone who has passed β€” honoring fallen heroes, loved ones, brothers, sisters, family members, and friends whose memories continue to live on.

Each name on the back of those jerseys represented a story, a sacrifice, and a life that will never be forgotten. It was a powerful reminder that Memorial Day is not just about remembrance, but about carrying their legacy forward in everything we do.

Thank you to the Marines Ice Hockey team for honoring the fallen both on and off the ice. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

After more than four decades of service, the Marine Corps is beginning the transition away from the iconic F/A-18 Hornet era as aviation modernization continues across the force. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈβœˆοΈ

The Corps plans to fully transition to an all F-35 tactical aircraft fleet by 2030, bringing significant changes to aviation maintenance specialties and the future of Marine aviation. The Hornet has remained a symbol of Marine air power since the 1980s, supporting operations across the globe and generations of Marines.

As the mission evolves, the legacy of the Marines who flew, maintained, and supported the F/A-18 community will continue to leave a lasting impact on Marine Corps aviation history.

Semper Fidelis. πŸ”₯
