About me:
I grew up in Central NY State in a large, loving family. I earned my Bachelor of Art in Mass Media Communications at SUNY Plattsburgh and an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts at Mohawk Valley Community College. Moved over to
NYNEX Telephone in operator services and management. I met my husband Brad in 1990 when he was stationed at Griffiths AFB the day before he deployed for Desert Storm. We married in 1993. Constant deployments, many moves and blessed with 3 children, military life shows you crystal clear what is most important. Faith, family and country. I am a military wife and mother first and foremost. Our last move was to Stafford in 2009. We loved the area, and the schools were top rated. All our children attended North Stafford HS, our girls went to H.H. Poole MS and our youngest started at Garrisonville Elementary. They were all student athletes and all graduated with MERIT scholarships from North Stafford HS and continued on to the Air Force Academy, West Virginia University and Neumann University. We have been members of Saint Francis of Assisi parish since 2009. My hobbies include bible study (having a Christ centered life is vital), fitness (I work out 5-6 days a week - healthy body healthy mind), working in the yard, baking, and spending lots of time with family. My husband and I volunteered at the Micah Cold Weather Shelter 2017-2020. I volunteered at the Fredericksburg Food Pantry during the COVID shutdown, I had to do something to help. I worked at OneLife Sport and Health in the child care center from 2017-2022. I was the supervisor from 2019-2021. Worked with children ages 3 months to 12 years old. I absolutely loved being with the children and watching them interact and grow. Playing an active role in my children's school has always been a priority to me. I have:
- Volunteered at every school my children attended starting in 1998 at Navarre United Methodist Preschool in Florida to 2017 at North Stafford High School;
- PTA member at H.H.Poole 2010-2013;
- NSHS athletic booster member starting in 2013. vice President 2015-2016, President 2016-2017;
- Parent’s Advisory Council at Penn Elementary Dale City, VA 2002-2003;
- Parent’s Advisory Council at Alafia Elementary Valrico, Fl 2006-2008. My children had a very good educational experience in the Stafford Schools and I want all the current and future children to have that opportunity also.
