Stafford residents who are elderly or disabled have access to a medical car to transport them to and from doctor/hospital appointments and a bus to attend congregate lunches and go shopping. For additional information please call us 860-684

Lunch is served daily at 12:00 pm in the Senior Center. The suggested donation is $2.50 if you are age 60 or over. Please call 860-214-1320 the day before to make a reservation.

Other departments in the Board of Selectmen's budget have also had to make cuts.

My post is not intended to suggest that the cuts to my department are unfair. It is to inform people about the changes to our services and illustrate that reducing the budget requires making cuts. I made the decision regarding what cuts would impact the smallest number of individual seniors, and the lunch program has about 15 regular attendees.

I'm hoping the person who had called us looking for a hospital bed sees this post. We just had a donation of a used Medline MDR107002E semi-electric twin bed. It is dis-assembled, and I have printed a copy of the manual for it. There is no mattress.
