We need closed primaries! The Rotary Club does not allow the Lions Club to elect their officers, nor does any other organization. Why should Republicans allow Democrats to crossover and choose our candidates? It has cost us elections.

In Missouri, while you are not required to declare a party affiliation to vote in primary elections due to the state’s open primary system, you have the option to voluntarily indicate your party preference. To do so, you can complete the online form provided by the Missouri Secretary of State’s office. This form allows you to establish or change your political party affiliation, and your responses will be submitted to your Local Election Authority for processing. 

If you prefer, you can also contact your local election authority directly to update your party affiliation. 

It’s important to note that declaring a party affiliation is entirely optional and does not affect your ability to participate in any election.

Teresa Douglas has done a lot of research on Missouri Judges up for retention on the November 5th ballot. Many people vote "Yes" or "No" on all of them or just skip them altogether. We want to keep good judges and get rid of the bad ones. The Missouri Plan, also known as the Non-Partisan Plan makes it extremely difficult to get information. The Bar Association always says they are substantially qualified to serve on the bench. Only 2 judges have ever not been retained under this system. Choosing your judges based on who appointed them does not work because the Governor is given a choice of three judicial nominations who may all support an opposing political party.

She has researched each judge and based my recommendations on many factors, including the organizations they belong to and any legal cases they have been involved in that are of interest. In 2021, the entire 21st Circuit Court had to recuse themselves from the Tolu case due to corruption in the family court. I have disqualified anyone I think sat in Family Court during this time frame.

In addition, some of these judges are involved in diversity or woke programs and I will vote against their retention.

Both of the judges for the Supreme Court voted against putting Amendment 3 on the ballot. We recommend to vote "Yes" to retain them. There is a major push from the left to get rid of them and we need to support them.
