Ding, ding, ding goes the trolley!

This particular trolley is a replica of a classic tin toy made by J Chein of New York and is available for sale in our gift shop. Plus, if you want to find out more about wind-up toys you can come check out our exhibit, "A Turn of The Key," which tracks the history of wind-up toys through the decades. We're open Wednesday through Friday 10-4 and on Sunday 12-4. Directions can be found at our website (link in our bio).

It's freakin' Friday folks! More specifically, it's the very first Field House Friday!

What, you might reasonably ask, is Field House Friday? Well, it's an opportunity for us to highlight some of the many incredible people that work here at the museum. So, going forward, you can expect a post interviewing one of our awesome volunteers, donors, or employees to appear in your feed every other Friday.

This week, we're starting off strong with the inimitable Dick Benach. Dick is a character through and through, and he helps out by portraying Eugene Field at a number of our Field House Museum events. So, take a second to read through our interview as I pick his brain about how he got involved here and what it's like to portray the famous "Children's Poet."
