Let them know that:
1) It is federally required to fund the trust at least $5 million so DON'T CUT THE FUNDING
2)Housing is public health an we have to keep families in their homes safe during COVID-19
3) Lastly, share how this will affect you, your family and friends
Rental assistance, rapid re-housing, eviction prevention, home repair, tenant education.
We learned today that these are among the dozens of affordable housing programs that the City of St. Louis is proposing 24% funding cuts for in FY2021 (beginning July 1st).
In response to COVID-19, the Affordable Housing Trust Fund is now more important than ever. Housing is public health.
There is one opportunity to give virtual public testimony this Friday at 10a and speak about why affordable housing matters in St. Louis.
