There are lots of benefits to being a part of an amazing school district, like Lindbergh Schools. One benefit that has been especially fun during our Month of the Young Child celebration has been our partnership with the students in the LHS Child Development II Class. Each week, they spend time connecting with our students, observing our teachers, and learning about child development. This week, the students culminated their work in our classrooms by leading a lesson.

The Turtle Class' student read a fan favorite - Giraffes Can't Dance and then introduced the students to her clarinet!

We're singin' in the rain,
Just singin' in the rain,
What a glorious feeling,
We're happy again!

The springtime weather earlier this week did not stop our ECE Flyers from getting their groove on. Check out these adorable puddle jumpers!

Dancing, clapping, stomping, marching, singingโ€”this is more than fun (though itโ€™s LOTS of fun ๐Ÿ˜„).

Music + Movement helps children to:
โœจ develop language
โœจ express emotions
โœจ connect with others

When children move to music, both sides of their brain are activatedโ€”supporting memory, attention, and coordination.

๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’› At LECE, weโ€™re learning through every beat and every move.
