We are pleased to welcome Ben Peterson as the Farm Manager at Lindbergh Farmers Club!
Lindbergh Schools is pleased to welcome Ben Peterson as Farm Manager for the new Lindbergh Farmers Club, which is scheduled to open in Fall 2027.
The Farm Manager will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for the agricultural integrity and long-term curation of the Farmers Club site. He will ensure that the site is developed and maintained to serve as a functional, productive "living laboratory" for teachers and students.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ben Peterson to the role of Lindbergh Farm Manager,” said Dr. Tony Lake, superintendent. “His expertise in conservation and agriculture are paired with a passion for education and community outreach that will complement the mission and vision of our program.”
Peterson currently serves as Habitat Crew Lead of Pheasants Forever Quail Forever, a nonprofit organization that supports habitat improvements, public access, education and conservation advocacy. In this role, he oversees a crew of five specialists, in addition to managing an operations budget and setting goals to implement conservation practices on multiple project sites. Peterson also has experience creating and implementing educational programs as a Lead Educator for Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield, Mo.
Peterson will begin his role on July 1 and will work alongside Farmers Club Onsite Educator Melissa Nussbaum to support the design of real-world learning experiences for students in grades PK-12. The Farmers Club is scheduled to open for the 2027-28 school year.
