The Lindbergh Farmers Club is well on its way toward its grand opening in Fall 2027! Construction reached several exciting milestones recently as this first-of-its-kind learning center begins to rise from the ground.

Crews have been busy digging geothermal wells across the site. This innovative system will utilize the earth's stable underground temperature to naturally regulate the building’s climate, significantly reducing energy costs and environmental impact.

The blue material is plastic for water proofing. It prevents moisture from wicking up through the slab and damage flooring or on exposed concrete making it slick. Additionally, the building's storm shelter is now fully constructed, and work will soon transition to the wood-framed portion of the main structure.

Lindbergh Schools is excited to see this Prop R project moving forward to provide future-ready AgTech opportunities for our Flyers!

We are pleased to welcome Ben Peterson as the Farm Manager at Lindbergh Farmers Club!

Lindbergh Schools is pleased to welcome Ben Peterson as Farm Manager for the new Lindbergh Farmers Club, which is scheduled to open in Fall 2027.

The Farm Manager will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for the agricultural integrity and long-term curation of the Farmers Club site. He will ensure that the site is developed and maintained to serve as a functional, productive "living laboratory" for teachers and students.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ben Peterson to the role of Lindbergh Farm Manager,” said Dr. Tony Lake, superintendent. “His expertise in conservation and agriculture are paired with a passion for education and community outreach that will complement the mission and vision of our program.”

Peterson currently serves as Habitat Crew Lead of Pheasants Forever Quail Forever, a nonprofit organization that supports habitat improvements, public access, education and conservation advocacy. In this role, he oversees a crew of five specialists, in addition to managing an operations budget and setting goals to implement conservation practices on multiple project sites. Peterson also has experience creating and implementing educational programs as a Lead Educator for Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield, Mo.

Peterson will begin his role on July 1 and will work alongside Farmers Club Onsite Educator Melissa Nussbaum to support the design of real-world learning experiences for students in grades PK-12. The Farmers Club is scheduled to open for the 2027-28 school year.

Before wrapping up the school year, first-grade teachers at Dressel Elementary School welcomed families into their classrooms for a special end-of-year celebration!

Each classroom hosted a variety of engaging activities to highlight student growth and memories, including:

Reading a favorite book as a group together
Presenting fun, personalized student superlatives
Playing interactive games
Reviewing all of the amazing things students learned throughout the school year

Lindbergh Schools is incredibly proud of these young Flyers for their hard work and extends a warm thank you to all the families who joined in celebrating this milestone!

Last week, IMPACT students presented four large-scale mixed media canvas works to Angels' Arms representatives at their food distribution center. The students met with Angels' Arms to learn about their organization's needs prior to creating the art pieces. This collaboration resulted in thoughtful work that will now adorn the walls of the food distribution space!

Yesterday, six outstanding Lindbergh High School students officially launched their professional careers by signing registered apprenticeship agreements during a regional signing day ceremony!

Through the Career WayZ Youth Apprenticeship Accelerator, these talented Flyers have spent the semester honing critical skills and securing paid, hands-on manufacturing placements with top local employers:

Nick Burton (11th Grade - Kemco Aerospace Manufacturing)
Era-Ann McAnally (11th Grade - Kemco Aerospace Manufacturing)
CJ Stathopulos (11th Grade - Hydromat Inc.)

Nick Weber (12th Grade - Seyer Industries)

In partnership with districts across St. Louis County, this program allows students to "earn while they learn," building vital connections to the local workforce while completing their high school education. Congratulations to these future industry leaders!

Lindbergh Schools is proud to celebrate four outstanding student writers from Sperreng Middle School, who have received the prestigious "First Class" designation in the 2026 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Promising Young Writers Contest!

Congratulations to these exceptionally talented Flyers: Elena H., Emma W., Hanna O., and Lana V.

National judges evaluated entries from only 200 nominated students representing 30 states, Puerto Rico, South Africa, and South Korea. Each piece of writing was judged on expression of ideas, language use, and unique perspective and voice, with "First Class" representing the program's highest honor.

This achievement is a testament to the students' hard work and the dedication of the educators who mentored them. Way to write, Flyers!

Lindbergh Schools has officially concluded the 2025-26 school year!

The district wishes all students, staff, and families a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer break. Thank you to the entire Lindbergh community for making this an outstanding year of learning, achievement, and growth.
