We know it’s been a minute, but the HUB (drop-in center) has returned after a brief break! We’re super excited to welcome youth (10-19) back into a space built for recreation, support, and whatever comes next! 💪

📝 DID YOU KNOW: Youth ages (17-19) can stop by for help creating or updating their resumes, whether they’re preparing for their first job, looking for a new opportunity, or just want to make sure they’re putting their best foot forward.

One of the awesome things that our Transitional Living Program (TLP) offers is the Tech for Life Launchpad. What if you could practice for some of life’s biggest moments before having to face them in the real world? 👀

Through Tech for Life, youth in our TLP can use technology to practice important real-life skills in a safe, engaging environment. They can work through driving simulations, prepare for job interviews, explore creative expression through painting and drawing, and even experience things that may otherwise feel out of reach (like traveling to space as an astronaut). 🤩

Opportunities like these create space to learn, build confidence, and explore what might be possible for their future. We’re grateful to Gateway to Innovation for their generous support of our TLP and for helping make the Tech for Life Launchpad possible!

Some goodbyes are really just beginnings! 💙 This afternoon, we gathered outside to send one of our own off to college. Staff and peers came together to hear a few words from him, share fun memories, and wish him well before he headed into what comes next.

Moments like this don’t happen all at once. They’re built slowly in choices, in setbacks, in second chances, and in the decision to KEEP GOING. Today, all of that looked like a young man standing in front of people who care about him, saying goodbye before heading toward something new.

That’s worth celebrating. Go see what’s out there! 🎓

Shout out to all of the staff who helped him get here, for showing up, pouring into him, and helping make sure he had the tools to step confidently into what’s next. Your work here has an invaluable impact!

WHAT. A. NIGHT. 🎶💙

Last night, we celebrated 35 incredible years of Kookin’ for Kids at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis and our community showed up in a BIG way. Incredible food, live music, a ton of generosity, all inside of a room filled with people who believe in the transformational power of youth. The 35th Annual Kookin’ for Kids: A Taste of the Blues was truly a time to remember. ✨

For more than 175 years, The Core Collective at Saint Vincent has served the St. Louis community, and nights like this remind us that we don’t do this work alone. Every guest, restaurant partner, sponsor, donor, volunteer, performer, and supporter who joined us helped invest in brighter, more hopeful futures for young people across our community.

The Hub has been a little quieter lately… but not for long! 👀🤩

While our drop-in center’s doors have been closed over the past week or so, our team has been hard at work behind the scenes preparing for what’s next. From fresh additions to new opportunities for youth to connect, gather, and enjoy the space, there are some exciting things coming to The Hub!

Community, connection, and plenty of fun… that’s what National Night Out is all about! 💙🎉 The Core Collective was proud to welcome youth, families, neighbors, and community partners to our campus yesterday to enjoy some great food, physical activities, art and creative expression, wellness, local resources, and meaningful connections!

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, shared resources, and helped make National Night Out such a memorable celebration. We’re especially grateful to our partners and staff who brought each activity zone to life! Special shout outs to JD Lee, The Creative Spot Non-Profit Organization, and Normandy Police Department for showing out!
