Over the weekend, we joined Action St. Louis Power Project, Abortion Action Missouri, and the Working Families Party in canvassing for Cori Bush! Members got out on the North Side of St. Louis and engaged with voters to get our congresswoman reelected!

Last week in Philadelphia at the 2024 Quadrennial SEIU International Convention, members from the Missouri and Kansas Region joined members from across the US. The energy of solidarity buzzed around the city of Brotherly Love as we showed the power of our union!

"This was a result of incompetence from the owners who made a decision to not make payroll."

The narrative that workers are at fault for the terrible shutdown of Northview are ridiculous and baseless. This removes the blame on the out-of-state owners and the administration who are at the root of the issue.

We are still seeking justice for ALL affected workers, residents, and family members affected by Northview's sudden closure.

Northview Village closed suddenly on Dec. 15 as the company that owned it struggled to meet payroll.

Thank you to our ally, Congresswoman Cori Bush, for standing alongside workers affected by the sudden closure of Northview Village by Healthcare Accounting Services. Make no mistake, we will not yield until justice is served and workers are compensated.

Workers and residents deserve JUSTICE! All eyes are on Saint Louis as we come together as a community to support those affected by the greed of the Northview owners.

The displacement of 170 nursing home residents is raising questions and renewing concerns over care facilities and the steep challenges families and frontline workers face in the care system.

The sudden decision to shut down Northview Village impacts workers and residents alike. We are actively trying to support all affected, but the bottom line is workers need to be paid and elders need to be cared for.

The Northview Village Nursing Home, located at the corner of North Kingshighway Boulevard and Highland Avenue in north St. Louis, abruptly shut down Friday.

We support candidates that support the worker, not the ultra wealthy. This includes shows of support, such as visiting picket lines. That would go a long way into changing the political dynamic in the state because I highly doubt that you’re going to find a Republican candidate that’s going to be willing to do that.

“Organized labor’s political power has increased in the last year, however, union members are much more conservative than their leadership,” said a spokesperson for Republican Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft’s campaign.
