The rights we celebrate today were won by working people who stood together.
Labor Day was born out of the labor movement—a movement of workers organizing for better wages, shorter hours, safer workplaces, and a voice on the job.
Those victories weren't handed to us.
Working people organized for them. And today, that work continues.
This Labor Day, we honor the workers who came before us, the workers building power today, and everyone fighting for a Missouri where working people can thrive.
Because when working people organize, we win. ✊
