An incredible transformation is underway at 3305 Meramec as part of the Marquette Homes project led by Lutheran Development Group and Rise Community Development. City of St. Louis-CDA is proud to support this scattered-site redevelopment effort with $1.1 million in HUD HOME funding to preserve historic buildings, expand affordable housing opportunities, and strengthen neighborhoods. 🏠 🧱

When we’re told that a building is “too far gone to save”, what does that mean? In the case of 3305 Meramec, a creativity and determination are preserving a building that would've otherwise been torn down, or collapsed.

One year after the May 16 tornado, recovery work continues across neighborhoods. Through the City of St. Louis CDA’s Healthy Home Repair Program, tornado-impacted homeowners have received critical repairs including roofs, windows, HVAC systems, and other essential improvements to help residents remain safely in their homes.

In 2025, the program worked on 200+ homes citywide and continues to support recovery efforts in partnership with Mission: St. Louis and local contractors.

“People want to live in their neighborhoods. They love their homes and their neighborhoods. A big part of this is reducing vacancy.”
