Community Mediation Services of St. Louis

Community Mediation Services of St. Louis Helping St. Louis to come together, communicate, and resolve differences. Our Vision: Community Mediation Services of St.

Louis (CMS) imagines a society in which parties address their conflicts non-violently through mediated dialogue. CMS’s process provides two professionally-trained volunteer mediators and a safe location to facilitate dialogue between parties in conflict. CMS provides Community Mediation in the following areas:
-Citizen complaints against police officers. Mediation offers parties the opportunity to

resolve issues themselves and avoid intercession from courts or other parties.
-Referrals from police officers or city officials. Mediation is a preventative measure or last resort to avoid arrests or fines.
-Neighborhood Mediation. Mediation assists parties to resolve issues surrounding parking, trash, disrespect, noise, minor mischief, and others.
-Landlord Tenant Mediation.
-Town Hall and Large Group Mediation. Mediation in a town hall format facilitates problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution for larger groups.
-Senior citizens and their families. Mediation is a method for families to discuss and resolve the difficult decisions associated with aging. CMS is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that promotes the principles of nonviolent social change by fostering peaceful dialogue among all persons, regardless of faith tradition.
