STLFD K-9 Search and Rescue Team

3 of our members just returned from Texas, where they trained alongside the Shreveport Fire Department K9 Search & Rescue Team & other rescue teams from around the country. While there for the week, 2 of the dogs honed their skills on live find area searches, while the other learned to detect human remains submerged in water. Training like this is essential to keeping our dogs performing at peak levels, in order to serve our community.

Rimco Scrap Metals and Wilson’s Structural Steel have gone above and beyond for the K9 team! We are extremely grateful for their most recent donation - 7 top of the line, Gunner kennels (5 star crash test certified) equipped with rechargeable fans and custom name plates, and more.

Our K9’s will be safer and cooler than ever thanks to their generous donation.
