March is Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Awareness Month.

Loeys-Dietz syndrome (LDS) is a rare genetic connective tissue disorder that greatly increases the risk of life-threatening aortic dissection without proper monitoring. First identified in 2005 by Dr. Bart Loeys and Dr. Hal Dietz at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, LDS is a lifelong condition requiring early diagnosis and specialized care.
This month, the City of St. John, Missouri, proudly raises awareness to support individuals and families affected by LDS and to honor the Morales Family’s mission to help save lives in memory of Kaitlyn Morales.

Awareness saves lives. ❤️
