This morning, we received multiple reports of scammers calling local residents and falsely claiming to represent the St. Clair Police Department. The caller often identifies themselves as Sgt. Reed from the St. Clair County Police Department and uses the number 810-314-3644.

Remember: real officers will NEVER ask you to send money, gift cards, or cryptocurrency. Scammers may even spoof our department’s number on your caller ID.

If you receive a suspicious call like this, HANG UP immediately and contact us directly at 810-329-5710 to verify. Please help spread the word to others.

DRUG TASK FORCE ARRESTS ONE IN CITY OF ST. CLAIR

(St. Clair) The St. Clair County Drug Task Force for executed a search warrant on the 1300 block of Cedar St. on July 20, 2026 as a result of an ongoing investigation. The Drug Task Force was accompanied by the Special Response Team. They located over 60 grams of crystal methamphetamine, scales, and sales materials. 41 year old Gregg Osebold was taken into custody as a result.

On July 23, 2026, Osebold was arraigned in 72nd District Court on the following charges. Bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety/10%.
-FELONY – Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver
-FELONY – Maintaining a Drug House

With the growing popularity of electric-powered bikes, it's important for parents to talk with their children about the laws and safety rules that apply to the bike they ride. Not all electric bikes are the same, some may legally qualify as e-bikes, while others are considered electric motorcycles and require registration, insurance, and compliance with motorcycle laws. Taking a few minutes to understand the difference can help prevent citations, reduce the risk of crashes, and keep young riders safe. Before your child rides, make sure they know the rules of the road and where their bike can legally be operated.

**UPDATE** OWNER FOUND!! Thank you again for all the help! ALSO, Please put collars with identification tags on your dogs! We have another lost dog! This very friendly boy was found running around Kletcha Park in St. Clair. He is a lab-poodle mix and is not wearing a collar. If you know who this dog belongs to, please give the St. Clair Police Department a call at (810) 329-5710. We are able to hold for a short time before we need to contact St. Clair County Animal Control.

**UPDATE** Thank you for all the shares! "Rosie" has found her family and is on her way home! THANK YOU! A lost dog was dropped of to the St. Clair Police Department this morning. The driver found it on Fred W. Moore at Carriage Lane. The dog is believed to be female, and young. Looks like a doodle mix ~ gray and tan. She is chipped, but it's not been registered. We will be holding her here until St. Clair County Animal Control is available to come get her. Any information, please call SCPD at (810) 329-5710
