September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, and Thursday, September 10th, is World Su***de Prevention Day.

On Thursday, our South Lake Middle School community will come together to show our support for mental health awareness and su***de prevention.
We invite students, staff, and families to join us by wearing a mental health awareness shirt or purple and teal!

Throughout September, we are helping our students learn the importance of mental health, recognize when someone may be struggling, support one another, and know when to reach out to a trusted adult.

Let's fill our school with purple & teal on Thursday and remind everyone:
💜 You matter.
💜You are not alone.
💜 It’s okay to ask for help.

Together, we can create a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and connected.

Today, we recognize and celebrate the hard work and contributions of workers across our country, including the families, educators, staff, and community members who help make our school a special place each day.

Did you know? Labor Day became a national holiday in the United States in 1894 and is celebrated on the first Monday in September each year!

We hope our Cavalier families enjoy a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved holiday!

What a great first (extra short) week. We are all beyond proud of our 6th graders as they acclimate to middle school and tackle the fine art of opening lockers. Shout out to our W.E.B. (Where Everyone Belongs) Leaders who have been quick to help ease the transition for the next class rising at South Lake Middle School.

Grab Dinner, Give Back: Chick-fil-A Fundraiser This Saturday!

We are excited to partner with Chick-fil-A Roseville to support our schools while you enjoy the downtown festivities! Chick-fil-A will be at South Lake High School this Saturday, June 27th, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the corner of 9 Mile and Cavalier Drive, right by the tennis courts. They will be selling regular and spicy chicken sandwiches, chips, lemonade, and brownies, with both cash and card accepted for payment. A portion of the proceeds directly support South Lake Schools fundraising efforts. Stop by to grab dinner and help support our students. Go CAVS!
