🚧‼️UPDATED CONSTRUCTION ALERT‼️🚧

Southbound Jefferson is closed to through traffic south of 11 Mile. The suggested detour is westbound 11 Mile to Harper, southbound to 10 Mile, eastbound to Greater Mack, southbound to Fresard (or 9 Mile), then eastbound to Jefferson.

Please use patience during this construction project. Motorists and area residents are all being affected.

Southbound Jefferson is closed at 10 mile and traffic is being diverted down Lakeland, causing heavy backups. If you need to head down that way, please plan accordingly!

Please adhere to the speed limit and watch for children when rerouting down a side street.

🚨BOL Dodge RAM Infotainment Thefts🚨

We are seeing an increase in Dodge Ram UConnect Infotainment screen thefts. Thieves will break a window to gain access into the vehicle and take the screen in under a minute. Because a truck door is not opened, typically an alarm will not sound.

Our patrol officers are aware of the situation and using different strategies to try and catch the suspects. With your help we can increase the likelihood of catching these crews in the act.

How can you help?
- Park in the garage if possible
- Have your driveway well lit, with exterior cameras
- Invest in glass break sensors
- Call in any suspicious activity on the street

Last night, the midnight shift made an arrest of 3 individuals in connection with a Larceny From Auto incident in the area of Bon Brae between Harper and Little Mack. If you live in the surrounding area, please check your vehicles for missing items or signs of tampering. If you have a camera system, please review it for any suspicious incidents.

Please contact the SCSPD Detective Bureau at (586) 445-5305 referencing Case # 26-6366 if you have any information.

Remember to secure valuables inside the house for the night and to lock your vehicles. Thank you.
