**Public Notice** Lac Sainte Clair Park 11 Mile and Jefferson**

You MAY NOT enter the Harbor Area to Fish at ANY TIME Between April 1st and November 1st.

The Harbor Area is Fenced Off and Gates are Locked. If you do not have a boat in the Harbor you will be considered to be Trespassing and the Police will be notified and enforcement action will be taken.

Park Hours are Sunrise to Sunset.

In addition any such trespassing is a violation of your Park Pass which will result in confiscation and revocation.

The Park does have a nice boardwalk with benches along the lake and the Public is encouraged and welcomed to fish there.

Due to Inclement Weather the Pool and Splash Pad will remain closed ALL DAY TODAY.

A reminder that we are OPEN this coming week. Normal Hours:

Weekdays 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Weekends 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

Due to a high demand of participants in our Parent-Tot Swim Lessons, we have added another session for the summer!

This class will be held on SATURDAYS ONLY from July 11th-August 15th at 9:30 AM - 9:55 AM

*No Class on July 18th*

**Real Lifeguard Saves** Great Work by Aquatics Supervisor/Lifeguard Andrew Jeffers. Last night during Twilight Swim Andrew was the Supervisor on Duty, he was standing outside the Pool Office greeting Residents as they entered the Pool and were waiting for lifejackets, a young girl darted away from her grandmother and went straight into the pool, and right to the bottom.

Without hesitation Andrew who was closest at the time jumped in fully clothed and grabbed the young girl from the bottom before she even knew what happened.

The child and family were able to continue their evening. Tragedy averted.

This is Andrew’s 6th year with the City and first year as a Supervisor! Well done Andrew!

*Always swim near a Lifeguard whenever possible
*Always know your child’s abilities before going swimming
*Wear only U.S. Coast Guard Approved Lifejackets
*Consider enrolling your child in Swimming Lessons. It’s a lifelong gift!
