SCS City Wide Garage Sale
Friday, August 14-Sunday, August 16

As the fourth annual SCS City Wide Garage Sale nears its conclusion we wanted to thank the over 600 sellers that dedicated their weekend and their goods to thousands of buyers that explored our city in search of treasures galore.

The event is only as successful as the community and you all showed up and showed out to make this year's event such a success.

We know there are always ways to improve and we read all of your comments and feedback about what we can do to make this event better, including changing the weekend the event is held, splitting up the sales into three separate weekends based on zip codes, capping the number of sales, extending the event hours, provide better seller tools to entice buyers, and encouraging multi-family sales instead of individual sales.

We encourage you to participate in a feedback survey to share more in-depth feedback:

We promise that we review and consider all feedback and make decisions about future iterations of this event based on discussion and consensus of the Committee and community feedback.

Feedback has been generally positive, but we understand frustration when there is lackluster sales, weather disruptions, etc. In the end, the goal of the Committee is to promote community engagement and support local businesses, which we feel confident that this event achieves. With that said, we will continue to look for ways to engage with the city and the community to make this event even better going forward.

Please continue to engage and challenge us. That is what makes this Committee, and the events we produce, a success.

We hope you're enjoying the morning sales. We're out and about visiting sales and talking to sellers and buyers and everyone seems to really be enjoying our community wide event.

Please be mindful of increased vehicular and pedestrian traffic on our streets and sidewalks and stay safe.

Also, many sellers are opting to stay open later today because there is rain in the forecast tomorrow.

So stick around, support a local business for lunch AND dinner, and enjoy hundreds of sales throughout our great city!
