Hey guys. Just a reminder. We will be selling Husky Hike signs before and after school for at least two weeks or until the signs are gone. The signs are $10 and can be returned anytime up until October 21st.

This year, we're selling raffle tickets as well. There are two types of raffles....

There is the adult raffle and tickets are $5.00 a piece and there are two prizes.
The first prize is gift cards from businesses from around the city, ie...Nino's, Village Market, Detroit Coney Island, Kitty Deluxe, etc.... So far, the gift cards total over $400 and climbing.
The second prize is a "Made in Michigan" basket.

There is also a kid raffle. If your child has the winning ticket, they will be able to choose extras such as....Crazy Hair Day, Extra Recess, Pajama Day, Pizza Day, etc. We will be doing the kids raffle once a month. Each month you will need new tickets. They are 3 tickets for $1.00 or 20 tickets for $5.00.

Please see this message from Ms. Willoughby.

Hi Ardmore parents, I have received inquiries re tutoring for this summer. As of now, the library is still unavailable. I will have to deliver tutoring via Zoom this summer. Tutoring will start July 6, after the holiday. I am setting up for one hour sessions, $40/hour. I will also offer group tutoring (max three kids--all the same grade level) at $25/hour. You can make your own groups and get back with me or ask me if I can arrange it. If you need math tutoring this summer, please PM me or email me at [email protected].

Tomorrow is the last day to turn in items and pick up your students belongings!!!!! We still have a lot of library books out and students belongings from desks and lockers that need to be picked up.

Both Ardmore and the Wheat will be receiving items on Friday, June 12th, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Please see MATERIALS RETURN INSTRUCTIONS below for drop-off details.

Ardmore will collect the items listed below from the parking lot by the main office:

Library books
Textbooks
Any borrowed teacher books
Safety belts
Any owed past latchkey/lunch/library/other fees
Paper Packets (for those families who completed the paper packet during this shutdown)
Key FOBS (only from latchkey families who don’t plan on utilizing latchkey for the 2020-21 school year)
Any other school-owned materials (not including Chromebooks or Instruments)
The Wheat Central Office Building located at 27575 Harper Avenue will collect:

Chromebooks that were checked out during the shutdown
Fifth grade band/orchestra instruments
**All Chromebooks and instruments will be checked-in and inspected to ensure that they are in working order. To expedite the check-in process please charge the Chromebook and have it turned on when you are having it checked-in.
We understand that some families were unable to pick up their child’s belongings a few weeks ago. The afternoon of Thursday, June 11th, and all day Friday, June 12th, would be an opportunity to do so. When you are dropping off your library books and textbooks at Ardmore you can also let us know that you need to pick up a bag of your child’s belongings.

We know that for many of you the only item(s) that you need to drop off will be a library book or textbook. For those of you who only have to drop off a book, please utilize our make-shift book drop off bin at any time over the next week. The bin is currently chained near the front entrance of Ardmore, in view of the camera, so that you can drop off books at your convenience.

MATERIALS RETURN INSTRUCTIONS: Ardmore will collect materials in the same manner that student belongings were distributed from the overhang by the main office. Families will not need to get out of their car, all items will be returned to a staff member from your car. Ardmore will collect materials Thursday, June 11TH, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. and again on Friday, June 12TH from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are not able to return your items (except Chromebooks/Instruments) to Ardmore during those times, please use the drop box that we have secured outside of the main office. The Wheat Building will be receiving Chromebooks and Orchestra Friday, June 12th, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Band/Orchestra Instruments and Chromebooks must be returned in-person and may not be returned through the drop box.
