It's our final day of Fall Break! In Creation we made Ghost Sculptures that turned out really cool! In Exploration we made Ghost Prints with luminous paper. We experimented with different items to try to see if our partners could figure out what our shadows were! In Imagination/Construction we made Jack-O-Lanterns out of our toys and building materials. Once the construction was complete we added a battery operated tea light! The kids came up with some pretty unique designs!

This has been such a fun break and we hope your kids enjoyed their time with us! We'll see everyone back at school on Monday!

Day 4 of fall break! In Creation we made our Glowing Ghosts in a Jar! Charge them up in the light and watch them glow, they're so cute! In Exploration we experimented with Glow Sticks and hypothesized if they glowed brighter in hot or cold water, ask your kiddo what they discovered! In Imagination we had to build tables for our witch cauldrons using different materials! These were quite the challenge especially with the height requirement!

Day 3 of Fall Break was a busy one! In Creation we made Ghost Portraits and Blown Ghosts, the kids worked so hard! In Imagination/Construction they made Spider Crates to transport spiders, don't worry, they weren't real! In Exploration the kids did a science experiment they could drink and made a Pop Rocks Potion! To top off our fun day we had a Glow Party! We had glow in the dark tattoos, a glow in the dark sensory bin with Pluffle, drawing with highlighters, glow in the dark rubber band shapes, glow in the dark magnetic tiles, balloons and music!

We had a beautiful day to walk to Laurel Park for our field trip! It was very windy, but the sun was out and the park was empty! We had a blast playing on the playground and looking at the pond! Word on the street is Ms. Shannon found a turtle!!šŸ¢

Hendersonā€™s Trauma Leadership Team (TLC) is inviting you to our second Parent Education Night.

On Wednesday April 9th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Henderson Elementary, please join us for the topic of "Tech Safety and Social Media." Internet Crime Against Children Detectives from the St. Charles County Police Department along with a representative from Crisis Aid International will be here to present information on this important topic. They will also cover parental settings on popular social media apps and games and the impact these things can have on our childrenā€™s mental health.
