The scammers are busy in our area today, we have received numerous calls. If a Sgt. Robert (fake name) calls and says he’s coming to your house to arrest you for missing jury duty, hang up on him, it’s a scam!!! If he ask you to deposit money in a Bitcoin ATM, hang up on him, it’s a scam!!! If he asks you to buy a prepaid cash/gift card, hang up on him it’s a scam!!! If we really have a warrant for your arrest we are not going to call you, a uniformed representative(s) will be knocking on your door. And we don’t take crypto or gift cards to pay your fines!!!

What a great day celebrating America’s 250th Birthday!!! The Daughters of the American Revolution dedicated a plaque celebrating the life and legacy of Revolutionary War Veterans and early Cottleville residents, Warren Cottle and John Pitman. The event also included a parade, stories from Daniel and Rebecca Boone, kids activities, police/fire displays and a flyover by the county police helicopter.

I closed out the busy evening by joining Chief Kurt Frisz and Chief George Grove throwing out the first pitch at the O’Fallon Hoots baseball game. The Hoots defeated the Alton River Dragons 8 - 2!!!
