We had a great meeting with the General Contractors and sub contractors for Tractor Supply. Asbestos has been removed , everyone is on the same page now for construction and rehab plans. They plan to be open to the public by October. We cannot wait for the opening day!

UPDATE!!

Tractor Supply has been approved for new construction plans.

They will start asbestos abatement next week. Once abatement is complete, they will start new construction on the building. We are getting one step closer and cannot wait to have the grand opening ceremony!

Saint Albans WV Fire Just a friendly reminder. We know cold weather is coming and the possibility of 25 ft to 2 inches of snow may happen. Please , do not do this. The pictures shown were taken yesterday. Also, a friendly reminder that power strips/ surge protectors are not the best option to plug in space heaters , or really anything . Please have a safe plan for if/ when your electricity goes out.

Another Step Forward in Cleaning Up Our Community

With the demolition of the latest dilapidated property on Washington Avenue, we officially mark the 55th demolition in St. Albans. Each of these efforts represents progress in reducing blight, improving safety, and strengthening the quality of life for our residents.

This success would not be possible without the teamwork and dedication of Mayor Scott James, City of St. Albans, WV City Council, the Saint Albans WV Fire, Saint Albans Police Department, our City of St. Albans Building & Zoning Department staff, the WV Department of Environmental Protection, Rodney Loftis & Son Contracting & his crew, and the many others who have helped champion this initiative.

Together, we are building a safer, stronger, and more vibrant St. Albans.
