Come learn about SJHS! We will have booths for SJHS specific info, extracurricular opportunities, community resources, and more. We will also have a local food truck, Sizzle Shack parked outside.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming next week! Students can shop the fair before school and at lunch from Sept 14-17. Parents and families are invited to come shop the fair during parent teacher conferences on September 17 from 3:30-7pm.

Did you know that the first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882 in New York City. Workers organized rallies and a historic parade to demand fair pay and safer hours. President Cleveland made it an official federal holiday in 1894 to honor the achievements of American workers.

Every Thursday, get to know one of our amazing faculty or staff at SJHS! This week, meet Ms. Reese. Ms. Reese grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended college at Utah State, UVU, and BYU for various degrees. She teaches World History and Geography and love the book To Kill a Mockingbird. Her favorite drink is Pepsi or Coke and she loves to snack on Gardettos. If she could travel anywhere it would be to Europe! We love Ms. Reese!

Come to the school dance on Thursday, September 3rd at 5:30 -730 pm. It is tropical themed, so wear tropical clothes, and be ready to party!

It is $3 to get into the dance, and the food and drinks cost extra. Bring your student ID to the dance so that it is easier and quicker for you to get in.
