Congratulations to Ms. Kelley for receiving the Staff of the Month Award for April.

"I have worked at Merit since 2016, starting out as a volunteer with the cheer team. Within a year, I became the assistant cheer coach—Xanthe is absolutely wonderful to work with! I also work in the Special Education department across various classes, and for the past year, I have served as the Special Ed Secretary. I am excited to be starting school myself for the first time on June 1st! I have truly found a place and a community of people I love to work with here at Merit."

Congratulations to Mrs. Davidson, Teacher of the Month for April!

"I've had the best time at Merit the past two years! During my time here, I've gotten to teach 8th and 10th grade Language Arts, as well as electives like Mythology and Humanities in Dystopian Worlds (a little bit of an excuse to talk about my favorite book series, The Hunger Games with students). I've gotten to know the most amazing students in my classes! I graduated with my Bachelor's in English Teaching from BYU in April 2024, right before marrying my sweetheart in May. This summer, my husband and I will be moving to Indiana so that he can pursue his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University. Go Boilermakers! Additionally, we're expecting a Baby Boy in November, so this may be my last year of teaching for a while. I'm so grateful for my time at Merit, and for the awesome people that made it so wonderful! I'll miss you all! Go Knights!"
