PSA: SUMMER VACATION SAFETY REMINDER

Planning a summer getaway? A few simple precautions can help keep your home safe while you're away:

Lock all doors and windows before leaving.
Use timers on lights to make your home appear occupied.
Ask a trusted neighbor to collect mail and packages.
Avoid posting travel plans or vacation updates on social media until you return.
Keep lawns maintained and trash cans stored properly to avoid signaling that no one is home.
Make sure security cameras and alarm systems are working properly.

Residents who live within the City of Springtown city limits can also request extra patrols around their home while they are away. The Springtown Police Department offers vacation watch patrols to provide an added layer of security and peace of mind.

To request a vacation watch, please contact the Springtown Police Department at 817-220-0828 before you leave.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer, and thank you for helping keep our community secure!
