Explore the days of yore at the East Forest Park Branch Library's third annual Renaissance Faire! We'll be stepping into the past on Saturday, September 12th from 11 am-4 pm.

The Barony of Bergental will be in medieval attire and offer us a rich experience through demonstration and interaction. Their offerings include: Heraldry, Illumination, Calligraphy, Embroidery, Armor Petting Zoo, Weaving, Paige Training, Armored Demonstration, and more.

Enjoy musical performances by Harper and the Minstrel, visit the Tarot Card Readers, and the Enchanted Ancient Tree. Check out the Giant Trolls from Skeleton Crew Theater, and enjoy a taste of Shakespeare's Scenes from the Watermelon Alligator Theater Company. Play Chess, D&D, try our Lawn Games, enter the raffles, and make a jeweled crown to take home.

We will also have free food (while supplies last) from local vendors: fresh cider donuts from Sweet Memories Donuts, Ice Cream from the Holyoke Ice Cream Truck, and tasty offerings from Jeannie's Weenies!

All ages welcome - Costumes encouraged!

Stop by the Central Library for "Good Golly, Missed Trolley: Springfield, Mass and the Trolley Transit System" with local historian and author Steve Cormier. The presentation will highlight the Springfield Trolley Railway, the dominant trolley system in Western Mass.

A Q&A with the author will follow the presentation. Copies of “Good Golly, Missed Trolley” by Steve Cormier will be available for purchase following the presentation
