This week, Corporal Crystal Rivera and Corporal Kendall Tardy completed a week of advanced leadership training through the FBI-LEEDA Command Leadership Institute (CLI).

The Command Leadership Institute focuses on developing law enforcement leaders by strengthening leadership skills, decision-making, communication, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.

Continued professional development helps our officers grow as leaders and bring new knowledge and skills back to the STCC Police Department and the campus community we proudly serve.

The STCC Police Department encourages our campus community to check in, speak up, and reach out. A conversation, a listening ear, or simply letting someone know they are not alone can make a difference.

Today we have Sergeant Mongeon, Corporal Tardy, Trainee Savino, Trainee Katz and Trainee Ramirez representing the STCC Police Department!

Please join us in welcoming Trainee Ramirez as he begins his law enforcement career with us here at STCC!🎉

Trainee Ramirez will be heading to the police academy alongside Trainee Savino and Trainee Katz as they take the next big step toward becoming police officers in September.

We’re excited to watch all three trainees learn, grow, and begin their careers serving the STCC community. 💙🚔

Our commitment to providing a safe and secure campus remains the same, only our location has changed.

As students prepare to return to campus, we’re reminded that campus police officers are sworn, POST-certified law enforcement professionals committed to protecting our communities every day. From responding to emergencies and investigating crimes to providing lifesaving assistance and supporting those in crisis, campus police play a vital role in keeping our campuses safe.

The Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association is advocating for legislation that would provide eligible public higher education campus police officers with equitable Heart Bill protections and Group 4 retirement benefits recognizing the important work they do and helping strengthen campus public safety across the Commonwealth.
