Developmental Disabilities of Clark County empowers people throughout their lifetime to achieve their fullest potential. We support a variety of essential programs including residential living, in-home care, community housing, early intervention for children, adult habilitation, specialized transportation, job training, and more. Our programs focus on helping the people we serve receive job traini

ng, build social skills, and set and achieve goals. This philosophy benefits the individuals and the community as a whole by creating good citizens and a skilled workforce. An excellent steward of public money, Developmental Disabilities of Clark County has been serving our community for over 60 years. We depend on county levy funds for 62% of our budget, with the remaining dollars provided by the State and Federal government. We seek every opportunity to collaborate with other organizations and businesses, and intensively pursue grants at every opportunity. In 2009, the Ohio legislature removed the term ‘mental retardation’ from our name.

ALONG WITH MANY COMMUNITY MEMBERS, WE HAD REPRESENTATION FROM COMMUNITY ED, CLS, BSO, IT, AND MUELLER CENTER. WE KNOW THAT THEY WILL REPRESENT US WELL. "LET ME WIN. At this Special Board Meeting of the Clark County Board of Developmental Disabilities, after the Call to Order and the Roll Call, the Board will immediately move into Executive Session for the purpose of conducting interviews for the Superintendent’s position. It is not expected that the Board will conduct any new business at this special meeting.
The next regularly-scheduled meeting of the Board is on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 5:15pm.
