Pine Point Community Council The Pine Point Community Council, Inc. (PPCC) is an advocate for residents and businesses of the Pine Point neighborhood. at the PPCC.

(PPCC) was established in 1975 and has provided advocacy services to the Pine Point area on a consistent basis since its inception. The PPCC provides a variety of health and recreational services to seniors on a daily basis. The PPCC acts as a clearinghouse for concerns, problems, and constructive ideas relative to the residents and/or business establishments. In addition, the PPCC works on behalf

of the residents of Pine Point to enhance their quality of life, the safety of the neighborhoods, and the equal rights of all. The PPCC is comprised of 9 representatives which are elected every two years. Representation on the board is open to any resident of the Pine Point area. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month and are open to everyone. The Senior Center/Neighborhood Coordinator, Laurel Rancitelli, provides coverage at the Council offices on a daily basis, assists in providing information to area residents, and coordinates the various activities and meetings for seniors. In addition, the PPCC is the home of Sector G Community Policing. Community Policing is a philosophy and an organizational strategy that relies on the cooperation between citizens and their police agencies to create and maintain a healthy community for everyone. The police and the community work together to identify, prioritize, and solve problems such as crime, drugs, fear of crime, and overall neighborhood decay with the goal of improving the quality of life in our city. The Beat Management Teams are the cornerstone of Springfield's law enforcement partner. Community Policing meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.
