⚠️ NOTICE TO RESIDENTS – UNLICENSED SOLICITOR ⚠️

The City of Springfield has been made aware that individuals representing White Knight Pest Control have recently been soliciting within the community.

At this time, the company does not have the required solicitor license to conduct door-to-door sales within the City of Springfield.

The City of Springfield recommends residents do not purchase services or provide payment or personal information to these individuals at this time, as the City has not been able to verify their legitimacy and has not authorized their solicitation activities.

Please use caution with any door-to-door solicitor. Properly licensed solicitors are required to follow the City’s licensing requirements before conducting business within the community, this information is available at City Hall (507-723-3500) or Police Department (507-723-3514).

Please do not park on the highlighted streets until seal coating is complete. Vehicles parked on these streets during seal coating operations may be towed at the owner’s expense.

⚡ Important Information About Your August Utility Bill ⚡

We understand many residents have noticed higher-than-normal electric usage on their August utility bill, and we want to explain why.

Due to a software issue, electric meter readings could not be obtained remotely, and June usage was estimated. Actual readings were obtained as meters were replaced throughout July.

What does this mean for your August bill?

Your bill may show higher electric consumption because it includes usage not captured in the previous estimate, plus July usage. July was also extremely hot and humid, resulting in record electric usage throughout the City.
