"Here are some photos of kittens! There's 4 kittens, two male two female in the order of the photos, they're around 14-16 weeks old, unvaccinated and not neutered as I don't have the funds or space for them right now. They're very playful with each other and accustomed to be being around other cats, and get weary/a little skittish when dealing with dogs or unknown people, then go back to being playful after getting used to their presence! They're also accustomed to being indoors compared to outside but do enjoy looking out of their catio! 🐾 WAGFEST 2026 IS COMING — AND THE EFFINGHAM COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER WILL BE THERE! 🐾

Calling all dog lovers! 🐶 Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 12, and head to WagFest 2026, presented by the Savannah Kennel Club at Guy Minick Park in Savannah.

And make sure you stop by and see the Effingham County Animal Shelter! ❤️ Our shelter team will be there representing Effingham County, connecting with fellow animal lovers and sharing information about the incredible animals waiting for their forever homes.

WagFest is a full day of fun for dogs and their people, featuring canine activities, demonstrations, vendors, rescue organizations and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the special bond we share with our four-legged friends.

9/4 UPDATE: Male puppy has found a home - Female puppy is still looking for her new family!

Message from owner:
I have attached photos of the two babies here. The little white speckled one (we have been calling Fisher) is a boy.
The little brown one (we have been calling her Cheyenne) is a girl.

The vet estimates they are 5 to 6 weeks old. Fisher weighs 5.5 pounds and Cheyenne weighs 6.2 pounds at this time.
Vet estimates they will be around the 30 to 40 pound full grown weight. Mom appears to be a blue heeler, best we can tell.
Vet also believes the puppies are a heeler / border collie mix. Puppies will receive their last dose of dewormer tomorrow.

The two puppies are full of love and Fisher is a ball full of energy and just wants to be loved on as much as he can get.

Message from owner: Good morning, my mother sent me this email because I’m trying to rehome my dog. It is just not a compatible living situation due to me moving and he needs more space and surrounding others. This is Kyro he will be two years in October. He is a German and Aussie Shepherd. He is microchip and neutered with all vaccinations up-to-date. He’s the sweetest boy, he loves outdoors, loves the parks, loves to play with people and animals, love Starbucks and car rides, and loves trips to Petco. He is a fast runner and running is one of his favorite things to do if he can have the space to do that that would make me so happy. He’s also the biggest cuddle bug after he just finished rolling around in the grass. And at night time he wants to be right beside you. He is very good with other animals LOVES to play with them never has shown any aggression a day in his life. He definitely a herd dog. He loves to run as a pack with animals, loves trees, grass and woods he loves to explore and he’s a very good leader. Thank you!
