LOCAL FAITH FEATURE

Calvary Church is comprised of a diverse group of followers of Jesus Christ that come from different cultural and social backgrounds. Their mission is to compel every person in central Illinois to seriously consider the claims of Christ and to support ministries around the world that do the same.

Contact Ministries is grateful to have the support of Calvary Church. We are blessed with their continued contributions that help the women and children served in our shelters.

Every evening - 7 days a week - Contact Ministries serves dinner to approximately 30 adult women and 20 children staying in our emergency shelter. We welcome members of our community to donate a catered or homemade meal to our residents, especially during the winter months ahead.

We have made it easy for volunteers to schedule a meal through our Meal Train. Please visit our website at the link below for more information, suggestions on meals, and to sign up.

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for ladies that can volunteer their time on Wednesdays, 9am-noon, to help in our Basement Boutique.

Our Basement Boutique is a place where women in need of clothing can “shop” in dignity for themselves and family members. All items are from donations available at no charge to our shoppers.

Personal hygiene products are frequently requested at our shelter. Donations, including travel size items, are accepted at our facility at 100 East Adams, Springfield IL, between 9am and 1pm Monday through Thursday.
