Today was a historic day in the City of Springfield.

I was sworn in for my third term on the Springfield School Committee, and I’m truly grateful for the continued confidence of the people of this city.

I began this work because of my children and my love for education. Seeing what’s possible when educators and parents partner—and watching a school move from Level 4 to Blue Ribbon—affirmed why this work matters.

Congratulations to my colleagues Gumersindo Gomez, Jr., Ayanna Crawford, and Rosa Valentin, and continued appreciation to Barbara Gresham and Denise Hurst for their leadership and service.

Honored to serve and ready to continue advocating for our students and supporting our educators.

I was so elated to come out and represent our School Committee and the 413 in support of your presidency. It was an honor to witness this moment and cheer you on as you step into this statewide leadership role.

As I reflect on this election season and the past eight years of service, my heart is full of gratitude. This journey has been far from easy—at times tumultuous—but it has also been deeply rewarding.

Together, we’ve made meaningful progress in our schools and communities, and most importantly, we’ve kept hope alive—the belief that we can and will continue to improve for the sake of our children and families.

To everyone who supported this campaign in any way—from a kind word, to a vote, to a donation—thank you. Your encouragement has carried me through every season of this work.

We’re here because of you, and the journey forward continues—stronger, wiser, and more united than ever.

🗳️ Today’s the Day, Springfield — Let’s Make History Together!

For the past eight years, I’ve had the honor of serving on the Springfield School Committee—advocating for transparency, equity, and stronger partnerships between families, educators, and our community.

But let me be clear—this isn’t just politics for me.
I’m not a politician. I’m a public servant.
I’ve been serving my community since I was a child—first as a student leader, then as a youth mentor, advocate, and now as someone still fighting to make sure every child in our city has access to opportunity, support, and hope.

Throughout this campaign, we’ve talked about what truly matters:
✅ Centering family engagement and student voice
✅ Supporting our teachers and staff with safe, well-resourced environments
✅ Expanding real pathways that prepare students for success beyond graduation

Today, it all comes down to this—your voice, your vote, your power.
Too often, people focus on the presidential race and overlook local elections—but this is where the change begins.

Let’s show up for our kids. Let’s show up for Springfield. Let’s make history—together.
