Last Nights Township Meeting was full of information that our residents need to know.
* Pizza with the Police, Wednesday, May 13th, from 5pm-7pm at TD Pizza.
* Springfield Community Pool membership registration is open online at www.thesay.org/scp.
* Overnight parking permission request will now be accepted online. Please visit www.springfield-nj.us/departments/police/. Questions can be directed to [email protected].
* The Union County Board of Elections is currently seeking Republican and Bilingual Poll Workers for the Primary Election on June 2nd. Compensation for the day is $300. If interested in serving, please apply online at www.ucnj.org/pollworker. The drop box is located in the Chisholm parking lot by the handicapped ramp. Early voting begins Tuesday, May 26" and ends Sunday, May 31s1. Visit the County website for participating Municipalities www.unioncounty votes.com. Please note Springfield does not offer early voting.
* Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th, Ceremony begins 10 am at Veterans Park, with parade immediately following down Mountain Avenue to Jonathan Dayton HS where Springfield-Hillside Elks Lodge 2004 has a free hot dog and drink waiting!
* Please be advised that garbage collection will increase to twice a week starting Tuesday May 26 through Friday September 4th. Collection days will be either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, depending on your location.
* The Town Wide Garage sale is scheduled for Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7' from 9am - 6pm. While no permit is required to participate, we ask that you register your address on the town website. This will allow residents and visitors to easily locate all participating homes.
* Springfield's Pride Month Celebration, Friday, May 29, Chisholm Park (near Community Center) 6:30pm, rainbow flag raising, speeches, live musical performances, 7:30pm "Wicked" on big screen, refreshments. RSVP for event updates at https://register,communitypass.net/springfield
