During the Illinois Public Health Association’s (IPHA) 85th Annual Public Health Workforce Conference this week, public health professionals, community health workers, and partners attending the Conference made a difference in the Springfield community. The service activity, sponsored by Springfield-based M.J. Kellner Co. Inc., gave conference attendees an opportunity to give back to the host community while helping make birthdays brighter for families across central Illinois. Students entering the public health workforce often begin their careers carrying significant student loan debt before they've even had the opportunity to serve.

For years, IPHA has helped ease that burden through its scholarship program, funded by a member endowment and IPHA's general revenue. Last year alone, IPHA awarded $5,000 in scholarships to five Illinois public health students. With your help, we can continue building on that investment.

This year, every IPHA Scholarship Travel Raffle ticket purchased helps support that mission.
