A beautiful fall day of gleaning and giving back!

A huge thank you to the wonderful teams from PeoplesBank and Arbella Insurance Foundation for joining Rachel’s Table for a sponsor glean on Wednesday!

Together, these dedicated volunteers harvested 1,470 pounds of Red Jonagold apples, helping ensure that fresh, locally grown produce reaches neighbors experiencing food insecurity throughout Western Massachusetts.

Thanks to their hard work, these apples were distributed to four of our partner agencies:

🍎 Lorraine's Soup Kitchen & Pantry, Inc. – 434 lbs
🍎 Easthampton Community Center – 429 lbs
🍎 Margaret’s Pantry – 439 lbs
🍎 Veterans Affairs Northampton – 138 lbs

🌎 Today is World Food Day!

Food is more than nourishment. It connects families, strengthens communities, and gives people the foundation they need to thrive.

At Rachel’s Table, we work every day to help ensure good food reaches people rather than going to waste. Through food rescue, gleaning, purchasing, and Growing Gardens, our volunteers and partners help provide nutritious food to more than 70 recipient agencies and networks throughout Western Massachusetts.

Today, we celebrate the farmers, food donors, volunteers, partner agencies, supporters, and community members who make this work possible.

Together, we can Reduce Waste. Relieve Hunger.
