A heartfelt thank you to:
Arbella Insurance Foundation, Sarat Ford Lincoln, Westfield Bank, WMCD Inc., People's Bank, Judy and Ted Ingis, and the Popkin and Budnick Family Philanthropic Fund.

Because of your generosity, we were able to host our biggest Outrun Hunger yet — with a record number of runners and walkers coming together to help fight food insecurity across Western Massachusetts.

Thank you for helping us race to fill the bowls and nourish our community. 💚

We are incredibly honored to have been named Nonprofit of the Year by the ERC5, a vibrant chamber representing more than 300 business and nonprofit members across our community. This recognition means so much to all of us at Rachel’s Table because it reflects the dedication of our volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters who make our mission possible every day.

We were proud to celebrate alongside an outstanding group of fellow award recipients:

🏆 Small Business of the Year: College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving
🏆 New Member of the Year: Baystate Winair
🏆 Ambassador of the Year: Rich Merrifield Jr.
🏆 Board Members of the Year: Carla Alves and Amie Miarecki

Congratulations to all of this year's honorees, and thank you to ERC5 for recognizing the work being done throughout our region to strengthen and support our communities. We are grateful to be part of such an inspiring network of businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders.

Big congratulations to Tyrus St. Jean of Longmeadow, who took home the Male 1–12 Youth Winner title at this year’s Outrun Hunger 2026 race!

At just 7 years old, Tyrus showed incredible energy and determination! We loved seeing runners of all ages come together to help fight hunger in our community — and Tyrus was an amazing part of that spirit!

Way to go, Tyrus! 👏

Today is a reminder that hunger is not a distant issue — it’s happening right here in our own communities.

Across Western Massachusetts, too many individuals and families face food insecurity every day. At Rachel’s Table, we see both the urgent need and the incredible opportunity to make a difference.

Through our four programs — Rescue, Purchase, Glean, and Grow — we work to ensure that good, healthy food reaches those who need it most, while also building long-term solutions for food security. From rescuing surplus food to harvesting fresh produce from local farms and supporting community gardens, every effort helps nourish our neighbors with dignity.

But this work doesn’t happen alone. It takes a community — volunteers, partners, donors, and advocates — all coming together to ensure that no one goes hungry.

Today, and every day, we invite you to be part of the solution.

🎉 Congratulations again to Rachel’s Table Teen Board leaders Nilani Mathur and Alia Ghaoui, who were honored as part of the Junior Achievement of Western MA “18 Under 18” Class of 2026!

The awards celebrate young people across the region for their leadership, innovation, service, and dedication to making a difference in their communities — and Alia and Nilani represent all of those qualities so beautifully.

Pictured with them is Judy Yaffe, President of Rachel’s Table, celebrating these inspiring young leaders and the impact they continue to make through service and advocacy.

We are so proud of Alia and Nilani for this well-deserved recognition and grateful for the passion and leadership they bring to the Rachel’s Table Teen Board and our community. 💚

💚🏃‍♀️ WOW — what an incredible Outrun Hunger 2026!

This year’s event was our biggest yet, with a record number of runners and walkers coming together alongside sponsors, volunteers, and supporters to help fight hunger across Western Massachusetts.

Because of YOU, Outrun Hunger was more than just a race — it was a powerful reminder of what our community can accomplish when we come together with compassion, energy, and purpose.

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, sponsored, volunteered, shared our mission, and brought non-perishable food donations to support our neighbors in need. Every step truly made a difference.

We are beyond grateful for this community and proud of what we accomplished together.
