Update: 6-12-26 The NWS has determined high winds for the area of Pike Township.

Following last night's storms, Clark County EMA has completed initial damage assessments in the Pike Township area and submitted documentation and photographs to the National Weather Service for review.

Clark County EMA is working closely with the National Weather Service to evaluate the damage and determine the weather conditions that contributed to the impacts observed. The assessment process includes reviewing debris patterns, damage indicators, and other meteorological data.

We will continue to coordinate with our local, state, and weather partners and will provide updates as additional information becomes available.

📋 Attention Clark County School Partners

As we begin receiving Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) for review, we wanted to provide a quick update on the review process.

To ensure fairness and consistency, EOPs will be reviewed in the order they are received by Clark County EMA.

We understand the state-required submission deadlines that schools are working under, and we appreciate the tremendous amount of time and effort that administrators, school safety teams, and staff invest in developing and updating these plans each year.

Our goal is not simply to check a box. We conduct a thorough review of each plan to identify strengths, provide meaningful feedback, ensure alignment with best practices, and help strengthen overall school preparedness and safety.

Because every plan deserves individualized attention, review times may vary depending on the volume of submissions and the complexity of the plan. Please know that our team is working diligently to return plans as quickly as possible while ensuring each receives the careful review it deserves.

We appreciate your patience, partnership, and commitment to keeping our students, staff, and school communities safe.

Together, we continue to build safer and more resilient schools throughout Clark County.
