What incredible work these people do in some very challenging situations. Thank you, The Child Advocacy Center, for your efforts in collaborating with various organizations with a unified purpose of helping our children.

Sheriff Jason Johnson shared his appreciation for Sgt. Crawford's commitment:
"Sergeant Crawford's extensive investigative experience and expertise are invaluable far beyond the Sheriff's Office. I commend his dedication to being a voice for our children."

🌟 Youth Encouragement!

Today, we’re inviting Greene County to build up our youth. In the comments, write one sentence of encouragement—short, strong, and positive.

Please do not include names or any personal details. Just words they can carry into the week.

Confidence grows when a community speaks life into its young people—and they are our future!

Make It Count Monday

A new week is a new opportunity to make an impact. At the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, every shift moves the mission forward — and it starts with the dedication you can bring to the table.

We invest in our team with competitive pay, with Detention staff starting at $23.05/hour, county paid health insurance, HSA options, and two county paid retirement plans, because great work happens when great people are supported.

Show up. Give your best. Lift each other up.

That’s how we serve Greene County with honor.

Make this week count, and find out more at: https://greenecountymo.gov/hr/posting.php/

🚨 SCAM ALERT — AND NO, WE WON’T SEND THE SWAT TEAM TO YOUR DOOR 🚨

We promise you this: if someone calls claiming to be from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and says you must buy gift cards or else…
That’s not us. That’s a scammer.

Our deputies will never demand money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, cash apps, or anything similar.

And we will definitely not show up at your house with a tactical team because you didn’t pay a bogus fee.

If you get a suspicious call, text, email, or message:
✔️ Hang up
✔️ Don’t pay
✔️ Call us directly

Scammers pretend to be us.
We want you to know the difference — and stay protected.

Stay alert. Trust your instincts. Help stop scams.

🚔 Throwback Thursday! 🚔

Check out this classic 1985 Ford Crown Victoria - one of our old patrol rides - pictured with retired GCSO Captain Jim Barber.

Some things change… but the mission stays the same; serving our county.
