The New England Farm Workers' Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Program is an educational program for youth ages 16-21 that are interested in obtaining their GED, go on to college or a training, and find employment. The New England Farm Workers’ Council provides a comprehensive, holistic, year-round program of wrap-around WIA services to Hampden County out-of-school youth between the ages of 16
-21. The program provides direct case management services along with a full range of asset-based comprehensive educational, employment, support, and follow-up services. The NEFWC WIA Youth Program design emphasizes a positive youth and workforce development system that emphasizes the youth’s strengths and provides them with the tools to learn, thrive in the workforce, connect with peers, and become leaders.
