Clark Soil and Water Conservation District

The Clark SWCD was commissioned in 1942 at the request of the citizens interested in soil and water conservation, land use planning, and flood prevention.

Start the new year hearing from local farmers who are having successes with new agricultural practices, including new crops, crop rotations, cover crops & other conservation practices. Presenters include Mike Beam, Roger Wright & The Ohio H**p Company. NRCS & FSA staff will also talk about available programs through their agencies. Bring your questions and ideas because there will be plenty of time for discussion. And bring your appetite for the Young's breakfast buffet. Registration is 10$ and is required. The Clark SWCD Nominating Committee for the Election of the Board of Supervisors is seeking candidates to run for the 2025 election. Contact our office for further details.
The Board of Supervisors consists of 5 members and is elected to a 3-year term. The Board of Supervisors meets monthly and actively participates in district-sponsored events. It is their duty to carry out the mission of the Clark Soil and Water Conservation District.

Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, the following Clark County offices will be CLOSED today, Monday, Jan. 6 (UPDATED AS OF 8:05 a.m.):
* The Common Pleas Court General Division -- which includes Judge Driscoll and Judge Rastatter's courtrooms and the Adult Probation Department -- will now be CLOSED.
* The Common Pleas Court Domestic Relations court -- which includes Judge Capper's courtroom and magistrates offices inside the A.B. Graham Building -- will be closed.
* The Clark County Clerk of Common Pleas Court office will now be CLOSED, including the Clark County Title Offices.
* The Board of Clark County Commission offices will be closed to the public, including the following departments: Building and Grounds, Commission, Community and Economic Development, Department of Job and Family Services, Dog Shelter, Emergency Management Agency, Information Systems, Personnel, Solid Waste District, Reentry and Utilities.
* The Clark County Municipal Court and the Municipal Clerk's Office.
* The Clark County Probate Court.
* The Clark County Juvenile Court.
* The Clark County Auditor's Office.
* The Clark County Treasurer's Office.
* The Clark County Coroner’s Office.
* The Clark County Tax Map Office.
* The Clark County Board of Elections.
* The Clark County Recorder's Office.
* The Clark County Soil and Water Conservation District Office.
Offices are expected to reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Clark County remains at a Level 2 snow emergency, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 Clark County Farm Bureau in partnership with USDA, NRCS, FSA, and Soil & Water will host our 2nd Annual Educational Semiar.

Who: USDA, FSA, NRCS, Soil & Water, and Clark County Farm Bureau

What: Educational Semiar surrounding EQIP, CSP, CRP, H2OHIO, and Cover Crop programs

When: Tuesday, January 14th beginning at 10AM
