A full house at the Greene County Planning and Zoning meeting! This is the type of civic engagement I love to see.

Your voices play an important role in forming developments in and outside of city limits. As your HD 131 Representative, I will make it a priority to attend many of these meetings while informing you along the way. What guardrails do you need to see during development in rural Greene County?

People in Southwest Missouri deserve to know how large developments could impact our water, roads, utilities, and communities before deals are made behind closed doors. I support stronger oversight, transparent public input processes, and protecting local voices so growth in the Ozarks is responsible, sustainable, and community-focused.

What are your thoughts on the proposed housing development near the intersection of AB and EE? Make your voice heard at the upcoming Greene County Planning Board meeting on May 19th at 7pm. The agenda and information about how to attend virtually can be found here: https://greenecountymo.gov/files/PDF/file.pdf?id=1528

Earlier this year, Missouri lawmakers proposed cutting $51.5 million from child care subsidies that help low-income and foster families. After public pressure, that funding was restored in the final budget. As good as the news is, it shouldn’t have been on the chopping block in the first place. Child care is essential for working families, our economy, and our kids’ futures. Missouri should be expanding access to affordable child care, not debating whether families deserve it.

Mother’s Day can hold many emotions. Today I’m thinking not only of those celebrating, but also of those longing to become mothers or carrying loss and heartache. I’m deeply grateful for the women whose love, patience, comfort, and steady support shape the lives of those around them in countless ways, both seen and unseen. To the nurturers— I wish you care and appreciation today and every day. 💙

Happy Nurses Week. 💙
I’m especially grateful for the nurses who supported me through my IVF journey. Their compassion, patience, and care meant more than I can put into words during such an emotional time. They showed up with kindness and expertise every step of the way.

Thank you to every nurse who shows up for others every single day.

Missouri teachers show up every day for our kids.

Meanwhile, the Republican supermajority in Jefferson City is pushing a budget that falls short of fully funding our public schools. This forces teachers and districts to do more with less, something that is all too familiar to them.

You can’t claim to support teachers while underfunding their classrooms.

Turn your appreciation into action. Call your state representative today and make your voice heard on behalf of our amazing teachers and students.

UPDATE: new form linked to our website.

We're received hundreds of calls regarding storm damage over the last few days, and we are doing our best to keep up.

In collaboration with the county, we have created a form for residents to fill out on our website. You can find it on the Greene County homepage, our homepage, or at the link below.

This does not guarantee any financial assistance, but it does help us submit documentation to state and federal organizations for potential disaster declarations.

The applicant in Greene County Planning Board Case 2410, Willard80 LLC, has formally asked the Greene County Commission to remand the rezoning request back to the County Planning and Zoning Board so the overall footprint can be reduced to a smaller portion of the site, rather than have the Commission rule on it at its Monday, May 4 public meeting.

The Commission has historically remanded cases back to the Planning Board when there has been deemed a substantial change to an application.

The case involves roughly 93 acres near the intersection of State Highways AB and EE in the Willard area. Willard80 LLC applied to rezone the property from R-1 to UR-1 to develop a subdivision called Auburn Meadows. After hearing from residents with concerns over density, traffic, drainage, and school overcrowding at an April 21 public hearing, the Planning Board voted to recommend denial.

The Greene County Planning Board's next regularly scheduled public hearing is Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 212 of the Historic Courthouse. If the Commission grants the remand, the Planning Board would take the revised, reduced-area rezoning request up at that meeting, hear public testimony, and issue a new recommendation of approval or denial to the County Commission.

Under Greene County's standard rezoning process, the County Commission would hold its own public hearing on Monday, June 1, 2026, where Commissioners would weigh the Planning Board's renewed recommendation along with public input before voting to approve or deny the rezoning.
