The House of Representatives has voted on and PASSED West Virginia Representative Riley Moore's Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act.

This GOA-backed bill would prevent credit card companies from using credit card codes to track purchases at gun stores.

🇺🇸 As we celebrate the United States of America this Independence Day, let us remember that freedom is not free. It must be earned, defended, and preserved through the sacrifices of generations who understood that liberty requires eternal vigilance.

Today, the future of this great Republic rests with us. We must stay informed, engaged, and committed to the political process so the blessings of freedom endure for our children and grandchildren.

America’s strength has never come from government, but from citizens willing to stand up, speak out, serve their communities, and protect the principles that have made our nation a beacon of liberty for 250 years. 🇺🇸

WEST VIRGINIA LEADS THE WAY

West Virginia didn’t just join the fight. We kicked the door wide open!

When GOA pushed SB 1071 forward, it helped spark momentum nationwide, including the introduction of H.R. 9009, the first-ever federal bill to fully repeal the Hughes Amendment.

Now the rest of the country is watching. If West Virginia gets SB 1071 across the finish line, it sets the precedent other states have been waiting for.

We lit the fuse.
We set the example.

And we will keep pushing, so freedom doesn’t stop at our state line.

This Memorial Day, we honor West Virginians who gave everything. From the Civil War to today.
From World War I (1,120 lost, plus hundreds more in training), to World War II (over 5,800), to Vietnam (1,182 The highest per-capita casualty rate in the nation), to the War on Terror (40+), more than 8,000 of our own have died in combat.
They were sons and daughters of these mountains. Their sacrifice is our legacy.
We remember them. We honor them. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

This week in West Virginia history recalls the Matewan Shootout of May 19, 1920, a tragic and violent episode in the Coal Wars. Agents of the Baldwin-Felts Detective Agency arrived in Mingo County on behalf of the Stone Mountain Coal Company to evict miners and their families from company-owned homes.

Though the day ended in bloodshed, it revealed the unyielding spirit of West Virginians when their homes, families, and way of life were threatened.

Matewan stands as a powerful reminder of Mountaineer resilience — the refusal to be pushed around, the importance of due process and the rule of law, and above all, the enduring necessity of the right to keep and bear arms as a safeguard for free people.

There’s a reason I’m proud to call West Virginia home.

While places like Virginia keep adding restrictions, we’ve chosen freedom. Here, we trust law-abiding citizens, respect the Constitution, and protect the right to defend ourselves.

After all, West Virginia is the best Virginia. “East” Virginia is just the least Virginia. 😄

In the Mountain State, we remember that rights are not granted by government; They are protected by the people.

MONTANI SEMPER LIBERI — Mountaineers Are Always Free.

An illegal national gun registry is being housed in Martinsburg, WV, and the ATF wants to expand it even further.

West Virginia gun owners must stand up NOW. Tell the federal government to destroy this unconstitutional back-door registry and end the surveillance of law-abiding Americans.
