The Illinois Municipal Utilities Association (IMUA), our statewide trade association with nearly 50 member municipalities, is excited to announce they've been awarded a Grid Resilience Grant totaling $475,376.

IMUA will use the U.S. Department of Energy grant to establish an Emergency Equipment Share Program, creating a centralized hub of essential, easy-to-access equipment that normally has long delivery lead times. All participating utilities will have access to this shared inventory of emergency equipment to help shorten repair time of damaged equipment for power restoration during significant storms.
