Just want to remind everybody…even though a moratorium has been suggested over and over at planning and zoning, it has not been approved, but is in major discussion SO…
Please spread the word: We are still collecting more APACHE COUNTY CITIZEN AND LAND OWNER signatures asking the County to enact a MORATORIUM against windfarm permit applications. We turned in 359 signatures to BOS this past Tues. (5/5)! But still need many more County citizen signatures for their June BOS meeting, to get a BOS vote scheduled on their Agenda. (At least P&Z is finally leaning in our direction on this idea, to help convince BOS!) Keep using the same signature forms. I'll be in touch later on getting them collected. Thank you very much!!!!

WHAT AN AMAZING TURNOUT at 5/6/2026 Apache County Planning & Zoning meeting!! A sea of Red Shirts and speakers in opposition of wind (& solar) projects from southern Apache County residents dominated the room. What started as a small grass roots opposition has grown into a community wide collective campaign to keep global industrial “renewables” projects from invading our backyards and destroying our open spaces. Arizona’s White Mountains are special and we cannot sacrifice our environment for short-lived, destructive energy projects. We are not guinea pigs. We are not statistics. We are humans with rights to quiet enjoyment. We MUST protect this area and the wildlife with everything we’ve got within us. We MUST stand together and be front-line warriors. WE ARE APACHE COUNTY and WE WILL RESIST.
STOP LAVA RUN!!! STOP BLACK RIDGE!!! We will not accept ANY project that destroys our environment in the name of “green energy” that will bring massive destruction to our open spaces. We have a huge voice, and we will keep screaming from the tops of sacred volcanic mountain peaks. “PROTECT OUR OPEN SPACES!”
