Thank you to everyone that came out this Saturday for our annual BBQ benefit.

Thank you to Sheriff DJ Long for hanging out with us all day, as well as all the people that stayed after to help us pick up!

You all are the ones that keep this department running.
Thanks again, see you next year!

Multiple fires are occurring across Carter County today. This is a prime example as to why the Burn Ban is still in place. While welcomed, the recent rainfall had little effect on the dryness! Be continue to use extreme caution!

The Woodford Fire Department extends our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the Wellston Fire Department, along with the family, friends, and loved ones of the firefighter who was critically injured while battling a wildfire and later succumbed to those injuries.

No distance separates the brotherhood. We stand with you, Wellston.

**AUGUST CALL SUMMARY — WOODFORD FIRE DEPARTMENT**

August Calls:
🔥 4 — Grass Fires
🤝 4 — Mutual Aid (grass fire response)
🚑 1 — Medical Call

TOTAL: 5 CALLS

One thing we’re especially proud of: Woodford Fire Department had ZERO grass fires within our own district during August. All four grass fire responses were mutual aid calls, meaning our department was able to step up and assist neighboring departments when they needed extra hands.

🔥 GOOD JOB, WOODFORD! 🔥
