🚧 Road Closure Starts Tuesday 🚧

Reminder from the City of Fairfield.

Motorists are advised that the intersection of Kenn Road aka Ross Road and Woodridge Boulevard will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026, weather permitting.

🚧 Road Closure Starts Tuesday 🚧

Motorists are advised that the intersection of Ross Road and Woodridge Boulevard will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026, weather permitting. The closure, which will continue into August, will allow for the construction of a roundabout.

Roundabouts are a proven safety countermeasure that reduces fatal and injury crashes by 78% when compared to traffic signals. Roundabouts are also efficient at keeping traffic moving and will reduce congestion and delay. This roundabout will be a context sensitive solution with a smaller diameter than the typical used throughout the area. It will have a mountable, concrete center island for the passage of emergency vehicles.

A detour map is posted on the City’s website along with project information at: www.fairfield-city.org/1129/

We recognize that the closure and detour will impact our neighbors in the City of Springdale, Ohio and the City of Forest Park, Ohio, and thank everyone for their patience during this improvement project.

➡️ Both crews will work toward Springfield Pike

▪️ Placement: At the curb by 7 AM Tuesday
▪️ Stacking: Neatly stack branches with cut ends facing the curb
▪️ Sidewalk Safety: If extending past the sidewalk, place parallel to the street with cut ends placed the same direction as traffic
▪️ Over the time limit? Any remaining material must be removed and can be placed out again next month

✅ Accepted Materials:
▪️ Woody branches over 1 inch in diameter and longer than 3 feet
▪️ Maximum size: 12 inches in diameter
