PRESS RELEASE

DATE: Tuesday, May 26, 2026

Township Line Road to be closed for five (5) weeks for Bridge Reconstruction.

Lebanon, Ohio – Clearcreek & Wayne Townships, Warren County, Ohio – Township Line Road, between Lower Springboro Road and S.R. 73, will be closed beginning Monday, June 8, 2026, for five (5) weeks, weather permitting. The closure is needed to address the ongoing settlement issues that developed after the Township Line Road Bridge #134-3.76 Replacement Project was completed by W.E. Smith Construction in 2025. W.E. Smith Construction is responsible for all costs associated with the reconstruction work.

The detour for the Township Line Road closure will utilize Lower Springboro Road, S.R. 48, and S.R. 73.

Your cooperation during this work will be greatly appreciated.

Clearcreek Township proudly announces the dedication of the "Back 9" at the Echo Valley Disc Golf Course to course designer Carl Chiles. Over the past decade, Carl has poured hundreds of volunteer hours—including six years as a seasonal township employee—into clearing trails, fundraising, and building the course into the premier destination it is today. As Carl steps down from his township role in June and retires from his teaching career, we celebrate his enduring legacy. Echo Valley is widely recognized as one of the top courses in Ohio, a top-25 course in the US, and a top-50 course globally UDisc. Thank you Carl!

UPDATE as of 2:45 p.m. on 5/28/2026, road is back open.

West Pekin Road will be closed to all through traffic - open to local traffic only - from Deerfield Trail to St. Rt. 741 from Tuesday, May 26th through Friday, May 29th for a culvert replacement near the 2300 block. This is being completed prior to scheduled paving. Motorists traveling westbound on Pekin need to take St. Rt. 741 south to St. Rt. 122 west to St. Rt. 123 north, then continue back to West Pekin Rd. Motorists headed eastbound will travel in reverse. All work is contingent upon the weather, which may result in an extension of construction time. We appreciate your patience during this important maintenance project.
